What remains is enough.
A bare branch describes a slow diagonal, with only a few traces of foliage left behind. The smallest twigs stop before the silhouette becomes crowded. This drawing is interested in a plant’s architecture rather than its fullness: the way a larger branch makes room for several lighter ones, or how a single dried leaf changes the balance. The paper is deliberately left quiet around the outer edges. As a concept, it offers a different kind of botanical image, built from weather, distance and the shape of an interval.

This is an intentional crop of the same drawing. Compare its dense areas with the open paper. That relationship is the starting point for the composition.
