An impossible address at the edge of the water.
A small invented house stands above a turning field of waves. Fine hatching gives the roof and rock their weight, while longer water lines pull the eye around the base. The scene is deliberately improbable; it is a drawing about distance, not a picture of a real coast. Its narrative stays open. It might be a refuge, a memory or simply a place you would like to look at for a while. The central decision is scale: one compact architectural shape against an expansive, moving surround.

This is an intentional crop of the same drawing. Compare its dense areas with the open paper. That relationship is the starting point for the composition.
