Quiet Current

Drawing study / 06
A circle that leaves the conversation open.
Offset arcs suggest an orbit without completing one. Their weights differ, so the drawing tilts rather than settles into perfect symmetry. A small detached mark becomes a counterweight at the edge of the composition. This is a study of almost-meeting forms: the gap is the central event. The motif has no assigned spiritual or cultural meaning. It can be read simply as a relationship between movement and rest, with enough quiet paper around it to keep the dark shapes distinct.

This is an intentional crop of the same drawing. Compare its dense areas with the open paper. That relationship is the starting point for the composition.
